Our history

L'ESPOIR DE LA FEMME IMMIGRANTE (EFI) is a non-profit community organization, created in 2011 by young French-speaking immigrant girls and women - living in the city of Toronto, more precisely in the Scarboaurgh region. The organization aims to support young girls, women and their families in their process of settling in by offering them diversified services in the social, economic, educational and cultural fields in order to ensure them a harmonious community life and thus facilitate their integration into the city of Toronto.

Missions and Objectives

The organization aims to support young girls, women and their families in their installation process by offering them diversified services in the social, economic, educational and cultural fields.

  • Promote French and prevent or break the isolation of young Francophone immigrant girls and women in Toronto and their families through social and cultural activities that strengthen community life;
  • Promote better school and academic education for young girls, women and their families by organizing information workshops on the education system in Ontario;
  • Fight poverty and unemployment among young Francophone immigrant girls and women by helping them develop the skills required for employability and for starting and managing an entrepreneurship in order to help them acquire financial, economic and organization for better care of their families;
  • Promote the artistic works of young Francophone immigrant girls and women and those of their family members;
